Saturday February 10th was a dreary day but everyone who ventured out to the Church Hall for the coffee morning enjoyed a warm and friendly occasion. The bacon rolls were so popular the supplies were exhausted but there were plenty of cakes and scones to supplement rations!
It was good to catch up with friends and exchange news especially with those we hadn't seen since Christmas. Dave and Kath were able to stay with us for the morning and had time to chat to everyone.
The tombola and raffle provided some lovely prizes and the cakes soon disappeared from the cake stall. The quiz proved a challenge but it's good to have fun while exercising our brains.
In all a very satisfying morning not least for raising some much needed funds to help run the church. Our thanks to everyone who helped in whatever capacity; shopping for supplies, cooking the bacon, baking the cakes, providing prizes and helping on the day. Another great team effort by the PCC Catering Team and friends. We're already looking forward to the next event....
