The year marches on and on 15th May the Annual Vestry Meeting and Annual Parishioners Church Meeting were held in the Church after Sunday worship.
It was good to hear from Paddy Schofield who leads the Church Hall Management Team about the work they have been doing this last year. The PCC appreciate very much the work done by Paddy and his team in keeping the Hall in such a good condition. It’s some 130 years old and there is always maintenance of some kind to do. During the last year the staging was removed and this has really opened up the hall and made it a much more usable space for all the groups who use this building which is a real asset to the Village.
The Vestry meeting is when Churchwardens are elected for the coming year. Duncan Robb had agreed to stand again and it was good to welcome back Brian Brown so that we now have two Wardens. PCC members all stood again and were elected.
The Church relies very much on the work of volunteers including those who help with the churchyard, cleaning the building, arranging flowers, cleaning brass and in helping at social events. If you would like to take part please do contact any member of the PCC.
We are looking forward to welcoming our Vicars - Revd’s Simon and Louise Moore - in July and hope that they will flourish in their ministry in our Benefice and lead us in a time of church growth. They will be living in the Vicarage at Silsoe and we look forward to getting to know them as they lead work amongst us.
Some 20 people from the Benefice took part in the Rogation Sunday walk to all three churches. This included prayers at Pulloxhill and refreshments. This is an annual event and open to all.
There are a number of social events/fundraising events planned for this year and details are available in the Pulloxhill Village News and on our webpages. Please do come along and meet others from our Village.
We do hope you will join us for worship - we have a range of services each month including at least on Holy Communion - you will be very welcome.
