Church News - January 2022

A very happy new year to you all. The PCC are pleased that ‘News from the Pews’ has now been incorporated into the PVN which reflects so many area of life in Pulloxhill and would like to thank Leonie for all the work she has done to make this happen.

Christmas was a little quieter than normal, but it was lovely to see some of you at Services. We are still being mindful of Covid and thank everyone for being thoughtful to other people in Church. Please do bring your mask along. The PCC do keep our Covid measures under review and like everyone else look forward to the time when we can meet without such considerations.

January is often a quiet month in Church life but there is a fair bit going on behind the scenes. The Benefice had a productive meeting with Bishop Richard and Archdeacon Dave about getting a new vicar - let's hope and pray that we will have someone new soon. Meantime, our Ministry Team continues to hold the fort. Please do contact any member of the PCC if you would like to know more about what the church offers.

The Bishop and Archdeacon reminded us of the power of prayer and please can we all pray for our future. With that in mind, you might want to join in with our Prayer Zoom on Thursday mornings at 9.20am when a few of us meet up via Zoom for about 20 minutes to discuss and pray for anything we want to. Everyone is welcome to join us - if you would like the Zoom link then please email Martyn Gates on martyngates.a@gmail.com or Margaret Butt on mkatebutt@yahoo.co.uk

The Churchwardens from the Benefice are meeting regularly, and we now have a template of Services we hope to offer each month. You can find details of these on the Services page, on our webpage and also on our A Church Near You Page. Late in February we will go into the season of Lent that leads to Easter and there will be a number of special services so please do take a look and come along and join any of the Services at Pulloxhill, Flitton or Silsoe.

We are a Village Church and welcome anyone who would like to come along to services or events. If you have never been to church or it’s been a while, come and find out what we are about - you will be very welcome. We offer a variety of services and also hold a Social Sunday where there is no formal worship, but time to meet up and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and get to know or catch up with one another. We hope to see you soon.
