Great Bank Holiday Weekend at the Church

The Bank Holiday Weekend of 25/26 August presented us with very mixed weather but that did not deter the enthusiastic visitors to the Art Exhibition and Sale organised by the Friends of Pulloxhill Church.  Having digested the very high standard of artwork on display many visitors joined the PCC and helpers in the marquee to sample the delicious food on offer.  A wide variety of home baked cakes were available for morning coffee and afternoon tea and those lucky enough to stay for lunch were spoilt for choice with home made pork pies and pasties, a variety of salads, home cooked gammon, cheese and, new this year, some mouthwatering home made samosas. The two days were most rewarding for everyone involved; we all enjoyed catching up with friends, having some laughs and best of all raising some much needed funds towards the running costs of the church.  We would like to thank all those who provided the food, erected the marquee or helped in any way with the event and the many local artists who contributed to the exhibition.  It was another memorable occasion.
