There were mixed emotions at Dave's last service in the Benefice on August 11th held in Silsoe church. A packed church sang Dave's favourite hymns and listened to his uplifting talk and his chosen readings. Along with his main gift we were delighted to see him presented with a framed picture, and a book of memories and messages from parishioners. This was followed by a buffet lunch at the Vicarage provided by the PCCs and enjoyed by a large group of well wishers. We will miss Dave and Kath greatly and have truly valued their presence in our Benefice over the last four years. At Pulloxhill we have many treasured memories of them both and we wish them every good fortune in the next stage of their journey through life, supported by their lovely family.
