REMEMBRANCE AT ST JAMES WEEKEND OF 10/11 November 2018

We are taking part in the National Act of Commemoration with a focus on Pulloxhill.

The church will be open from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday 10th November where there will be displays, a DVD, poppies and more.  If you would like to help with this 100th year commemoration of WW1 you can do so by lending memorabilia such as medals, photos, day books for display.  You can sponsor a (cast iron) poppy for the churchyard to honour the soldiers listed on our War Memorial or for a loved one who died in WW1 (cost £5).  You can knit or crochet poppies to go on the cascade of poppies that will adorn the side of the church.  (A pattern is available).  You can help at the church on the Saturday - welcoming visitors, making tea/coffee etc.

There will be an Act of Remembrance at 10.45 am on Sunday 11th November and the church bell will be rung in the evening as part of the National Act of Commemoration.

Please phone Linda Brown (714256) or Liz Coulson (712834) for more information.
