We gathered at the War Memorial in the churchyard for the annual act of remembrance attended by the Royal British Legion with the Last Post sounded by bugler Chris Witherington and the Reveille played after the two minutes silence at 11 am. The congregation moved inside the church for a service of remembrance led by Roy Pinnock and the church was beautifully decorated with reminders of the meaning of this tradition. The collection from the service will be divided between the Royal British Legion and Help for Heroes charities.
