The family service on May 28th celebrated weddings in style. The church was resplendent with beautiful decorations and a large congregation sang the most popular wedding hymns from the most recent weddings in the Benefice.
There was a ‘re-enactment’ of the ‘William and Kate’ wedding followed by the opportunity for couples to recite their wedding vows. The ladies were presented with wedding ‘favours’ and we all had a good time looking at each other’s wedding photos while eating cake and drinking Prosecco after the service.
Our thanks to everyone involved and especially Peter Meads for providing the cake and Button Cars for bringing a wedding car to the church for the occasion.
And the wish of every wedding organiser? – the sun shone!
